See my new semi-tamed wild rabbit?  This one is unusual. If you look closely at the photo, you should be able to discern a white ring around its neck.

I’m fond of my benign bunnies. Seeing them happily grazing in our yard gives me a sense of peace. Unlike the deer, they do little damage. Their cheekiness amuses me. This rabbit is stealing bird food on our patio.

I also identify with them regarding the predators who seek to eat them. “You are the bunny,” Kit frequently reminds me as an exhortation to be careful of people trying to take our money.

Note to rabbit experts: We know carrots are like candy to rabbits. We provide carrots in moderation. Rabbits, like many humans including myself, don’t have the discipline to limit foods bad for them.
